What items are required before selling trading cards?

first item required

500 card sleeves

These are good to use for trading cards to keep them safe and in great condition if you are reselling cards or just collecting them.

Second item reqiured

100 Top Loaders, 100 Penny Sleeves, and 100 card sleeves

Top loaders are essential to delivering trading cards because they are the armor to protecting them. Penny sleeves are used with top loaders if you are sending multiple trading cards into a single envelope, padded envelope, bubble mailer, etc. The way it works is you have to put the trading cards on top of the top loader and put them inside of the Penny Sleeve. The individual Penny Sleeve will have adhesive sticky line on top to keep the cards safe and tight with the top loader.

Third item required

Printing Paper

This is very important to have when selling trading cards. This is used to cover the trading cards that are in the top loaders or multiple cards on top of a top loader in a Penny Sleeve. The paper could also be used for printing your customers tracking label if they are ordering fast shipping options or if you just want to give them the faster shipping options. Therefore, this would be a secondary armor for the trading cards.

Fourth item required

Envelopes

If you are shipping the customers trading cards, you will be needing an envelope. This is what every single trading card seller or collector do. This is the most cheap and alternative way to ship to customers or collectors. But there would be a risk as well because letters can sometimes go missing with USPS since there is so many letters going around every day in the USA or the world.

So, there will be two envelopes needed. A small envelope and a long envelope. The small envelopes would be used if you are selling a small amount of trading cards that uses one top loader and one Penny Sleeve. The long envelope would be used is you are selling cards that are using two top loaders and two Penny Sleeves.

Fifth item required

Stamps

Stamps are needed if you are shipping your trading cards in envelopes. You will always need a Forever Stamp when delivering cards to your customers. A REMINDER you cannot forget, the envelope has to be 1 ounce or less with one Forever Stamp. But if your letter is more than 1 ounce, you would have to get an additional ounce stamp to cover that ounce. For example, if the envelope is 2 ounces, you would use 1 Forever stamp and an additional ounce stamp. If your envelope is 3 ounces, you would use 1 Forever Stamp and 2 additional ounce stamps. Etc, etc. Always keep the Forever Stamp on the top right of the envelope and put additional stamps to the left next to it.

These two buttons below will show you to a website where you can get your stamps. But just know that sometimes the USPS website won’t have all stamps or stamps you won’t like. That’s when you would have to physically visit your closest USPS office. A REMINDER, if you are ordering the stamps online with the two buttons below, just know that they will take a long time to come to your house because of the delivery options they have to send to your house will not be great. It’s always better to go to your closest USPS office or any stores that haves USPS stamps.

Sixth item required

Digital Caliper Measuring Tool

You will need this measuring tool to make sure that the envelope is the right thickness before shipping your trading cards to your customers. If your envelope is past a certain thickness, the USPS will send your envelope back and call it a priority mail and cross out your stamps so you can’t use it again.

Seventh item required (OPtional)

A Printer

A printer is needed if you are printing shipping labels for customers that are wanting tracking and faster shipping. You can also use this to print your customers name and address and your name and address. This would be an ease for sellers because it would be more tiring to write on an envelope.

eighth item required (Optional)

Clear Tape

Clear Tape is needed to cover the customer’s name and address and your name and address on the envelope because you want to make sure the letter doesn’t get wet while it’s in transit. Also, to tape the back closed part of the envelope for more protection of noting going into the letter or causing it to tear during delivery of your customers trading cards.

ninth item required (Optional)

4×8 Bubble Mailers

This 4×8 Bubble Mailer would be a good use for trading cards if customers are wanting shipping labels with faster shipping. This would be great protection.

Tenth item required (Optional)

Postal Scale

This scale can be used to measure your letters if you are unsure if the letters are 1 oz or higher. This I would recommend because it’s better than going to the post office every time to weigh a letter.
